This summer, Bo’s Place offered two special activity events for our families enrolled or interested in joining our family support groups.
On July 7th, the activity featured was the Memory Chain. Families first enjoyed connecting as a community during the provided dinner and then worked together as a family create a paper chain filled with memories of their loved one who died.
On August 1st, the featured activity was Shield of Support. The families identified the people, places, and things that are most supportive to them on their grief journey, as well as their own personal and family strengths. They created designs representing those strengths and supports to decorate a large posterboard shield to take home.
