Bo’s Place is a longtime member of the National Alliance for Children’s Grief (NACG).  This year, Bo’s Place sent four staff members to be part of the 28th National Symposium on Children’s Grief, held June 4 – 6, 2025, in Kansas City, MO.  The NACG Symposium draws more than 500 children’s grief support professionals and volunteers from throughout and outside the United States each year.  The symposium offers workshops and poster presentations on topics important to children’s grief, program development, non-profit administration, activities, fundraising, grief support models, and more.

Jennifer Boubel, Bo’s Place Executive Director, presented a workshop titled “Leadership is Relationships” and Marian Mankin, Bo’s Place Program Director, co-facilitated the Region V forum that gathered organizations from Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas to share challenges, innovations, and successes.

The children’s bereavement field is a tight knit community that is happy to share ideas and support each other in the common goal of working towards a world where no child grieves alone.  We are already looking forward to the 29th NACG Symposium in San Antonio next year.
