Description:
Understanding & Supporting Grief in the Latino Community is an interactive continuing education opportunity offered by Bo’s Place in collaboration with The Children’s Room. This training equips professionals with culturally informed practices when working with grief in the Latino community. This 2-hour training will define the way grief and loss is experienced in the Latino community emphasizing key cultural values that shape grief and mourning. This training will highlight the importance of culturally responsive approaches to supporting the bereaved and practicing cultural humility as an ongoing professional commitment when working with the Latino community.
