Our Hearts of Hope Chairmen, Courtney and Jeremy Brynes and Claudine and David Hartland, invite you to join us for our annual luncheon.
Kathy O’Neil will receive the Robin Bush Award, given each year to an individual in our community who has made a marked difference in the lives of children. Kathy is a longtime friend to Bo’s Place, having served on the Board of Directors for multiple terms, held the role of Development Director, helped shepherd the Bo’s Place Capital Campaign, and having been an unwavering champion of the Bo’s Place mission for many years. Kathy has even chaired the Hearts of Hope Luncheon in the past! In addition to her support of Bo’s Place, Kathy has served many other Houston area non-profits, such as Casa de Esperanza, Candlelighters and UTHealth. She is also a member of St. John the Divine, where she is actively involved. Kathy’s dedication to children and our community is remarkable, and we are delighted to honor her with this award.
This year’s guest speaker, Will Reeve, is a commentator for ESPN, appearing on SportsCenter, E:60, ESPN Radio, and other platforms. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, the leading organization in finding a cure for spinal cord injuries and providing care for individuals living with paralysis.
Having lost his parents, Christopher and Dana Reeve, by age thirteen, Will has experienced childhood loss and grief, but has used these experiences and the lessons and values he learned from his parents to forge ahead with resilience, courage and strength. At the luncheon, he will share candid insights on his experiences and how they have shaped him, and how grief has the power to unite and fortify us all.
Registration will begin at 11:30AM with program to follow at 12:00PM. For additional information or questions, contact Andrea Sivells at 713-942-8339 or andrea@bosplace.org.
