Bo’s Place was honored to be the beneficiary of a beautiful day of giving and connection at the Mahjong Event hosted at River Oaks Country Club. On this very special afternoon, 130 fabulously dressed and enthusiastic women came together—not only to enjoy the game of Mahjong, but to celebrate the lives of those who have passed and to support the vital work of Bo’s Place.
In memory and in community, attendees generously donated to take part in the event, turning their play into a meaningful act of compassion. Together, their support helps ensure that no one has to walk the grief journey alone.
Rachel Daniels, Development Director, was in attendance to share the many ways Bo’s Place supports children, families, and adults as they navigate life after loss. Rachel spoke about the impact Bo’s Place has had over the past 35 years, bringing comfort, healing, and hope to thousands in the Houston area and beyond.
The Mahjong event was more than a game—it was a powerful reminder of the healing that happens when people come together with open hearts. We are deeply grateful to the organizers, players, and donors who made this event such a success. Your generosity ensures Bo’s Place can continue to offer grief support services, free of charge, for all who need them.
