Bo’s Place is proud to return as a Run for a Reason Charity for the Chevron Houston Marathon—and this year, we’re going BIG.
As we celebrate 35 years of walking alongside children, adults, and families through the pain of grief and loss, we invite YOU to be part of something deeply meaningful. Whether you run, walk, cheer, or fundraise, every step you take helps ensure no one has to grieve alone.
January 10–11, 2026 will be a weekend to remember—and we want our biggest, boldest Team Bo’s Place yet to fill the streets of Houston with heart, hope, and healing.
Why now?
Because 1 in 11 children in Harris County will experience the death of a parent or sibling by the age of 18. When you support Bo’s Place, you’re helping provide free grief support to those who need it most—when they need it most.
Each mile you run, each dollar you raise, and each cheer you share is a lifeline to a grieving child and their family.
And if you need one more reason to say yes?
Meet Skye, our Chief Happiness Officer (CHO) and beloved therapy dog. Skye will be walking and cheering right alongside the team—offering encouragement, tail wags, and a whole lot of love throughout the weekend (and in the weeks leading up to race day). You won’t find a better teammate.
How can you support Bo’s Place at the Chevron Marathon 2026?
- Run the Marathon or Half Marathon with Team Bo’s Place
- Walk (or Run!) in the Bo’s Place 5K Team
- Fundraise to support our mission
- Volunteer as part of our spirited Team Hoopla and cheer on participants throughout the course
We promise—it will be a weekend filled with connection, purpose, and puppy joy.
