What happens when imagination, generosity, and hard work come together in the hearts of elementary-aged children? Something truly extraordinary.
Recently, a group of bright and compassionate 5th and 6th-grade students from St. John’s School turned a simple idea into a beautiful reality. They dreamed of creating a restaurant, not just to serve delicious food, but to serve others. From planning the menu, cooking all the food, and setting the tables to welcoming guests and handling orders, these young visionaries ran every part of their pop-up restaurant with care, creativity, and joy.
But this was no ordinary business venture. Every single dollar they earned was thoughtfully and joyfully given to Bo’s Place, a selfless gesture that reflects the very best of what a community can be when young minds and big hearts lead the way.
A special thank you to St. John’s School, Ms. Marie Matter and to Rowan Gray, whose leadership, passion, and hard work made this incredible experience possible. These students not only learned about teamwork and entrepreneurship, but they also discovered the power they have to make a difference in the world.
This event was more than a restaurant. It was a reminder that kindness and generosity can start at any age—and that even the smallest hands can leave a lasting impact.
